Wherever I go, I spend my time observing the ocean. I feel like I find it out over and over again. This changing painting, half water, half air, is infinitely rich. It attracts me like a black hole. It’s not me who goes to the sea, it’s the sea that comes to me. In my mind, each seascape is a trip, a journey through time. An opportunity to go back to my oldest memories, but also to deal with what hypnotizes me and scares me: the void. Nothingness. The place where I will end my adventure on this planet.
